Smartphones embedding a GPS chip should be democratized

According to a study by analyst firm Berg Insight, sales of mobile phones with GPS function have enjoyed a growth rate of around 92% in 2009 compared to 2008.
Berg Insight reports that mobile phones equipped with GPS have sold 150 million copies in the world last year. In 2014 the sales of these devices should reach 770 à 960 million units.
According to the study, smartphones embedding a GPS chip would represent 60% of total sales of mobile phones in 2014. The analyst firm believes that this will become a standard feature on mobile phones, like the camera function
