Multipoint technology of the iPhone once again challenged

The chip maker Elan Microelectronics Corp. (EMC) has filed a legal action against Apple, with the International Chamber of Commerce of the United States, in Washington.
The Taiwanese company believes that Apple has infringed its patents on the multipoint technology, used on the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad, but also on the MacBook and the Magic Mouse.
EMC claims that the Cupertino company with violating intellectual property rights, and asks that the terminals of Apple, using this technology, be withdrawn from sale.
